New President of USC Inauguration

The Inauguration of

Chrysostomos L. Nikias

On Friday, October 15, the University of Southern California will install Chrysostomos L. Nikias as the eleventh president of the university. We urge all students to attend the historic installation ceremony. It has been 19 years since our last inauguration; the ceremony will be a grand event, and a once-in-a-lifetime experience for students.

Classes will not be cancelled on Friday morning, but professors with classes scheduled have been encouraged to bring their students to the ceremony.

A reception for students will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Argue Plaza, next to the Alumni House. At 9:30 a.m., students will be escorted to reserved seating in Alumni Park. The processional begins at 10:00 a.m., followed immediately by the ceremony. The ceremony will end shortly before noon.

At noon all guests are invited to attend a celebratory luncheon held in McCarthy Quad. There are no reservations necessary for this lunch - all are welcome.
