A national committee has organized a forum on our campus on Wednesday, September 22nd, from 4 – 6 pm (venue TBD):

· Cynthia Young, author of Soul Power: Culture, Radicalism and the Making of a U.S. Third World Left (Duke UP); and director of African & African Diaspora Studies at Boston College

· Andrea Smith, co-founder of Incite! Women of Color Against Violence; author of Native Americans and the Christian Right: The Gendered Politics of Unlikely Alliances (Duke UP) and Conquest: Sexual Violence and American Indian Genocide (South End); associate professor of Media and Cultural Studies and U.C. Riverside

· Denise da Silva, author of Toward a Global Idea of Race (U of Minnesota P); and associate chair of Ethnic Studies at U.C. San Diego

· David Lloyd, author of Irish Times: Temporalities of Modernity (Field Day); and professor of English at US

· James Kyung-Jin Lee, author of Urban Triage: Race and the Fictions of Multiculturalism (U of Minnesota P); and chair of Asian American Studies at U.C. Irvine.
